The tale of Paari, who was compelled to leave her home in Sukkur, Pakistan, because of the 1947 Partition, is told in the book Road to Abana. Almost two decades later, she is given the chance to seize it when she is hired by an arms dealer to transfer shipments to Kandahar and Karachi. Paari's perilous path is plagued with challenges that regularly put her strength and determination to the test, from the wretched refugee camp in Ulhasnagar on the outskirts of Bombay where she lives on the edge of humanity to the shadowy lanes of Karachi and the perilous terrains of Afghanistan. She discovers a harsh reality and the scheme to stop her from achieving her objective just as luck starts to turn in her favour. Can Paari succumb to the betrayal or will she succeed in avenging her homelessness?
