The book depicts the origin of christianity from 2nd century, early and late 4th century. Thomas, the apostle presumably landed in Kerala [52 AD]. Some communities used Syriac liturgies by 6th century AD, justify the faith to have been emulated before St. Thomas. The state of Kerals is home to St. Thomas Christian community. It has several churches and traditions like East Syriac St Thomas Christian churches, the Syro-Malabar Catholic church, and the Chaldean Syrian Church. The Malankara Orthodoxy Syrian church and the Malabar Independent Syrian church are West Syriac St Thomas Christian churches. Portuguese, Italian and Irish Jesuits introduced the Roman Catholicism [16th century] to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most Christian schools, hospitals, primary health care centres owe to their missions from other countries. The Protestant missions introduced English education in India and were accountable for introducing the Holy Bible in Indian vernaculars.
