Ratan Tata, a well-known industrialist from India, has been a pillar of the Indian economic community. He was a member of the illustrious Tata family and was born in Mumbai. From 1990 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2017, he served as chairman of Tata Sons and the Tata Group. Tata has been recognised with India's two highest civilian honours, the Padma Bhushan (2000) and the Padma Vibhushan (2008). He also actively invests in Indian startups. He had a significant role in a number of the crucial acquisitions (Tetley, Jaguar Land Rover, Corus, and Air India) that helped this renowned commercial organisation enter an era of modernity and competition.
