A modern fable of an adventurous boy and a magical music-loving beast. When an Asunam, with rainbow scales and sharp talons, descends on his sleepy village, Vetri is thrilled. He gets to practise his hunting skills and the terrified villagers are only too happy to let him. But when Vetri realises that the Asunam is lost, he decides to take the creature home. As the two make their way across wild rivers and through dangerous woods, they grow weary. Will Vetri find the courage to protect the Asunam and complete the journey?
