Claire Wright is not who she appears to be. Claire, a British theatre student living illegally in New York, accepts the only job she can find working for a divorce law business by appearing as a simple hookup in hotel bars to lure errant husbands. The police want Claire to utilise her acting abilities to entice their suspect into a confession when one of her targets becomes the focus of a murder investigation. But she has reservations about the role being demanded of her from the first. Is Patrick Fogler truly a murderer, or is he the only honourable man she has ever met? Does this set-up go beyond what she is being told? Claire realises she is playing the most dangerous role of all at that point.
