Colours of Kanchenjunga II consists of twenty-five curated Indian Nepali short stories of the lives and times of those living under the shadows of the mighty Kanchenjunga. This volume follows the success of the first Colours of Kanchenjunga, published in 2020 and already in its third imprint. Most of the stories are from the mid-twentieth century which saw various forms and experimentations of the Nepali short-story fictional genre. Some of them can be considered as classics in their own right, forming a part of Nepali literature in schools and colleges. No study of Indian Nepali literature would be complete without the inclusion of these stories. These stories, along with a couple of them from modern times, deal mostly with social realism and psychoanalytical fiction.
