The early adjustment was necessary due to a better knowledge of the Competency-based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum. So, the ninth edition has been updated and altered, with new developments added into each component. Nonetheless, the book's design, which the medical students found to be appealing, is still in place, with the text divided into five sections. The very first chapter introduces AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics and Communication skills), a distinct and crucial idea within the CBME curriculum. This chapter makes extensive use of case studies in consideration of the 2018 Competency-based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum, which is patient-centered. Using competency number mapping, the DOAP (Demonstrate, Observe, Assess, and Perform) principle has been appropriately implemented.
