Charles Dickens once declared that of all his books, he liked David Copperfield best. David's happy childhood ends when his widowed mother marries the cruel Mr. Murdstone. After his mother dies, young David is put to work in a factory. The story follows David's fortunes as he strives to find happiness and make his way in the world. David Copperfield contains some of Dicken's most colourful and famous characters, including David's eccentric great aunt, Miss Betsey, the villainous Uriah Heep and the ever-optimistic Mr.Micawber.
