Greg Heffley is feeling a lot of pressure. His mother wants him to put down the joystick and focus on his "creative side" instead of playing video games, which she believes are making his brain mush. As if that weren't terrifying enough, Halloween is quickly approaching, and Greg is being attacked by frights from every direction. Greg has an idea after finding a bag of gummy worms. Will shooting a movie help him persuade his mother to stop criticising him, and will it also make him rich and famous? Or would doubling down on this strategy only make Greg's problems worse?
