Ganga is a classical Bengali novel written by Samaresh Bose. Published in 1957, this river-centered novel is based on South Bengal, especially the story of the life struggle of the fishing community (Machmara) in the undivided 24 Parganas district. This novel is considered one of the best works of Bengali novel literature by the author. Ganga is also included in Desh Patrika's list of the best 24 Bengali novels of the 20th century.
