As they were during the Muslim era and had ancient traditions, the Jats are one of the most significant races in today's Indian population. They primarily live in India's northern, western, and central regions. In the Punjab, Sindh, Rajasthan, and the western region of Gangetic Doab, the race serves as the foundation of the agricultural society. The Jats were a close-knit group of people who shared a same religion, bloodline, and language. However, at the moment, around a third of them are Muslims, a fifth are Sikhs, and the remainder are Hindus.
