'Magistory' is probably the first satirical autobiographical novel written in Bengali language. The author has written a memorable office biography like 'Amlagachi' with long experience of administrative service. But in 'Magistory', he wrote a novelistic account of administrative experience, page after page of bureaucratic complications, hierarchies, strained relationships, strange narratives. Being more daring, the author wrote the story of corruption and misogyny of political leaders. For writing this narrative, the writer had to endure bloodshot eyes from superiors, whispers from colleagues, even threats from political leaders, 'If you come here again, you will be shot dead.' This novel is an introspection of the intrepid author.
