Learners are introduced to readiness tasks, phonemic awareness, and correlating sounds with symbols in the phonics world of My Learning Train. It is an early years readiness phonics programme that is activity-based and multifaceted. Features (a) emphasises entertaining With the use of creative, age-appropriate exercises, the learner Flashcards, board games, rhymes, and stories are included in (B) to aid in learning. (C) By the end of level II, learners are able to associate the sounds of 42 sounds with 26 upper- and lowercase letters. (D) Activities are provided to aid in the development of phonic skills such as decoding for reading (recognising the letters/letter groups of a printed word) and encoding for spelling (identifying the sounds from the beginning to the end of a spoken word).
