The course material has been totally updated and changed to align with the chemistry syllabus suggested by the U.G.C. Curriculum Development Committee. Eleven chapters of the current edition cover the B.Sc. Part I course material. A review of the key topics is provided after each chapter, illustrations are provided for all the reactions mentioned in the text, and the subject matter on chemical bonding, stereochemistry, and reaction mechanism principles has all been reoriented.
