The book is published to mark the centenary of Snehangshu Kanta Acharyya. This year (2014) new materials about Sino-India Border Conflict came in light. Snehangshu Kanta Acharyya was arrested in Defense India rule in the year 1963. While he was in Jail he used to write diary almost regularly. Prison Diary contains those pages. Here we find a vivid description about the condition of the jail. At the same time the factionalism, debate among CPI which culminated in the split of the party.
