Solvents are used by various industries of prime importance like drugs, cosmetics, food, oil and fats, perfumes and flavours, chemicals and reagents, polymer etc. Textile, leather, paper, furniture, dyes and paints, minerals and metals, tanning are the other industries which also use solvents for the processing.
