Through the availability of a modern translation of her major work Sahaj Prakash, this book aims to convey the work of the currently underappreciated Hindi devotional poet Sahajo Bai to readers of Indian literature and those interested in Hinduism. For comparison, the original text is also provided. It is anticipated that this book would increase awareness of and appreciation for the poetry of this religious woman poet both in India and abroad and that readers will find the book useful in a variety of situations.
