Teacher education is at the base of all educational systems. To make it effective, it is necessary to put in place an education system which equips the trainee teachers with the skills needed to enable their students to be successful. This book discusses how to train teachers, improve teacher education programmes and impart quality education. The book is divided into eight parts. Part I takes a detailed look at the various stakeholders of teacher education. Part II focuses on micro-teaching, interaction analysis and practice teaching, which is a natural progression of the teacher trainee's skill development.
