Additionally, as a successor to an empire, General Zarrah is driven by the knowledge that her mother was murdered by the Veliant family and that she will be the one to exact justice. People in Zarrah have been destroyed by the Endless War. Zarrah makes a commitment to eliminate the assembled armies and their Veliant prince leader when she is assigned command of the city at the core of the war. However, Zarrah's preparations are complicated by a chance encounter with an unnamed, attractive enemy soldier. More so now that they realise they share the same aspirations and start to feel passionate in each other's embraces.
