The Bloods have taken control and are desperate to transform Britain into the world they want to see: right-wing, white, Christian supremacist. Anyone they label as abnormal becomes a target. The country is on the move as small militia groups fight one other while a flood of refugees flees the cities and the following Bloods. When her home is bombed out, Marti must embark on her own journey to save her father and get his essential programme into the hands of the appropriate people. Marti, on the other hand, is mixed race and trans, and she is accompanied by her younger brother. Crossing into enemy territory could result in death. Marti's adversaries, however, have underestimated her unyielding resolve to survive?and the consequences.
