Joss, who is ten, wants to be the class monitor at school more than anything. She's going a step farther, though. Joss's father brings her to the video game firm where he works for Take Your Child to Work Day. Joss raises her hand when the boss calls a meeting and announces that he would give his job to the person with the best suggestion for a company game-changer. Then, before she realises it, Joss is in charge. Joss is ecstatic. Dad is horrified because he will have to behave himself at all times. Perhaps they can all learn a thing or two as Joss works everyone into shape, including Joss herself. Gemma Correll's funny artwork is heartfelt and expertly observed.
