The third book in the Sandman series is a collection of four short comic book stories. Morpheus is only a minor character in each of these otherwise unrelated stories. We meet the mother of Morpheus' son, learn what cats dream about, and learn the true meaning of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night Dream. The latter was the first comic book to receive a World Fantasy Award for best short story. THE SANDMAN #17-20 are collected here.
